Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Laura Okin  and I'm the proud owner of Lovely Locks. I've been in Love with hair my entire life!  It started with Barbies and moved to friends and family as I got older. It wasn't until I was in my twenties that I realized it could actually be a career.  Since then I  have studied in and out of the salon with companies like Wella, Redken, Arrojo, and Milkshake to name a few. Everywhere I go and everything I do I can relate back to my work.

While I truly love working with all hair, some of my specialties are curly hair, short hair and dimensional color. Growing up with curly hair I understand the curly girl struggle and I know that not every curl is the same. I take the time to get to know what you like and don't like about your hair and how it's cut. I've also had almost every hairstyle there is so it really gives me a great perspective of your hair.

When I'm working with color clients I spend a lot of time on the health of their hair. I feel that some dimension, soft and subtle or very bold are important but not as important as the integrity of your hair. I believe that quality is the key to success so I promise to provide quality service using only the best products!

Although I spend most of my time thinking about hair, when I'm not behind the chair I enjoy spending time with my boys. I have two not so little ones (Ben 11 & Theo 7)  that I just adore. We love to spend time doing arts and crafts, playing outside, watching a good movie and eating! I love what I do but I also love to spend time with my family.
